SO THIS KIND OF GIVES YOU AN IDEA OF, SO STARTING WITH PRECINCT ONE, THE DIFFERENT COLLECTION OF PROJECTS.

UH, YOU KNOW, UH, ONE THING TO NOTE, YOU KNOW, THERE'S, UH, THE PROJECTS THAT ARE KIND OF HIGHLIGHTED IN, UH, THE DARK, UM, BLUE NUMBER THAT, THAT REPRESENTS PROJECTS WE'RE KIND OF SEEING AS A, A PARTNERSHIP WITH, WITH TECH STOCK.

UH, WHEREAS WE HAVE THE, THE ONES THAT ARE KIND OF NUMBERED, UM, AROUND IN THE ORANGE THERE IS, IS DIFFERENT PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTY.

CAN YOU READ THOSE OFF? UM, OH, THE, THE NUMBER, I DON'T HAVE ALL THE NAMES RIGHT ON, PER SE, BUT, UM, LET, I'LL GO THROUGH THESE AND THEN, UM, YOU KNOW, IF THERE'S QUESTIONS ABOUT A SPECIFIC PROJECT, THEN, THEN WE CAN COME BACK.

UH, SO ONE THING TO NOTE, UH, JUST FOR CLARIFICATION, RIGHT NOW I'M SHOWING EVERY PROJECT, SO DEPENDING ON THE SIZE OF BOND, WE CAN, UH, KIND OF REFINE, UH, THE FINAL PROJECT LIST.

BUT THIS IS JUST THE STATUS OF WHERE, UH, INCLUDING ALL THE PROJECTS, AND JUST TO YOUR POINT, UH, THERE WILL BE JUST AN AMPLE OF SUPPLY OF TOWN HALL MEETINGS THAT WILL GO SPECIFICALLY TO EACH ONE OF THESE, THESE, AND, UH, FOR EACH PRECINCT, EVERY SINGLE ONE, A COST ASSESSMENT, UH, AND, AND JUST GIVE A FULL DISCLOSURE OF EVERY, EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT, WHAT THE COST IS GONNA BE, WHAT'S GONNA IMPACT THE TAX RATE AND EVERYTHING.

UH, AND THAT, THAT COLLECTION OF PROJECTS FOR PRECINCT TWO.

SO HERE'S PRECINCT THREE.

SO, UH, YOU KNOW, WE'VE TALKED ABOUT IN THE PAST OF, UH, SEVERAL IMPROVEMENTS ALONG I 20, INCLUDING, YOU KNOW, FRONTAGE ROADS, RAMPS THAT ACTUALLY RESIDES IN PRECINCT THREE, UH, CURRENTLY.

AND THEN YOU'LL SEE THERE TOO, AS, AS ONE OF THE PROJECTS WOULD BE, UH, CONSIDERATION OF WIDENING RICK WILLIAMSON FROM 180 TO I 20 AS AS ANOTHER PROJECT IN, UH, PRECINCT THREE.

AND THEN PRECINCT FOUR, UH, HAS A NUMBER OF PROJECTS.

YOU'LL SEE THE, WE'VE TALKED ABOUT IN, IN PAST COURTS, THE, THE BANKHEAD BRIDGE, UH, AS A PARTNERSHIP WITH WILLOW PARK, UH, A WIDENING OF OLD BANKHEAD.

UH, YOU'LL SEE THERE ALSO A, UH, PROJECT FOR LOOKING AT A PARTNERSHIP WITH TECH STOCK TO WIDEN 1187.

UH, THERE'S ALSO OLD WEATHERFORD ROAD IS ONE THAT, UH, WE'RE ACTIVELY WORKING ON, UH, THERE IN, IN PRECINCT FOUR.

THAT'S, UH, PLANTED A BID AT THE END OF THE YEAR, UH, BUT SEVERAL KIND OF KEY, UH, WIDENING PROJECTS IN PRECINCT FOUR.

SO, UM, THE NEXT SLIDES, I KIND OF DID A, BY THE NUMBERS, YOU KNOW, IT JUST THOUGHT IT WOULD PRESENT WELL INSTEAD OF SHOWING LIKE A DETAILED LIST.

SO WHAT, UH, WHAT I THOUGHT I'D DO IS KIND OF GO THROUGH A SERIES OF NUMBERS SO Y'ALL CAN KIND OF SEE HOW THE PROGRAM IS, UH, DEVELOPING.

SO, SO THIS RIGHT HERE, THE 145 WOULD REPRESENT WHAT THE SIZE OF THE BOND IS TODAY.

AND KEEP IN MIND, I HAVE NOT REMOVED ANY PROJECTS, AND THIS IS VERY TYPICAL OF THE WAY WE'VE DONE PAST BOND PROGRAMS IN THAT YOU OFTEN HAVE MORE PROJECTS THAN, THAN YOU'RE, YOU'RE ULTIMATELY GOING TO FUND.

AND SO AT THIS POINT, ALL THE PROJECTS ARE INCLUDED.

SO, UH, THE, THOSE PRECINCT PROJECTS THAT YOU SEE, SO THIS COULD BE PROJECTS THAT ARE, UH, IN A CITY OR, UH, A COUNTY PROJECT IS 113 MILLION.

UH, WE HAVE THE 15 MILLION OF COUNTY DISCRETIONARY THAT, THAT WE'VE TALKED ABOUT IN PAST MEETINGS.

AND THEN CURRENTLY WE'RE AT 17 MILLION AS, UH, AN ALLOCATION TO PARTNER WITH TECH OP.

AND THIS NEXT SLIDE WOULD SHOW YOU.

UH, SO TALKING ABOUT THAT 17 MILLION IS, UH, WHEN WE LOOK AT ALL THE PROJECTS.

SO THAT WOULD BE THE, UH, THE PROJECTS ALONG I 20, UH, FM 1187, EXTENSION OF SEVEN 30, THESE PROJECTS THAT ARE ON SYSTEM, UH, LOOKING TO, UH, TRY TO PARTNER FOR AN ADDITIONAL 122 MILLION, UH, THAT WOULD BE PARTNERSHIPS WITH COG AND TECH STOCK.

UH, THIS IS VERY SIMILAR TO THE LAST TWO PROGRAMS. UH, YOU'LL SEE THAT 12%, UH, WE ACTUALLY WERE LIKE 12.3% COMBINED IN THE LAST TWO PROGRAMS AND HOW MUCH WE INVESTED VERSUS LEVERAGED.

UH, SO VERY GOOD LEVERAGE, UH, WITH THOSE PARTNERSHIPS AND LOOKING TO DO THE SAME THING, UH, WITH THIS PROGRAM.

UM, THIS IS A SLIDE.

I WAS, YOU KNOW, AS WE GO THROUGH THIS, WE'RE JUST COLLECTING THE BEST LIST OF PROJECTS.

I WAS ACTUALLY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT KIND OF THE BALANCE HERE.

UH, SO IF YOU LOOK AT THE TYPE OF PROJECTS, SO WE HAVE 10 SAFETY PROJECTS, UH, WITH A WOULD BE AN INVESTMENT OF 24 MILLION, UH, NINE NEW ROADWAY EXTENSIONS.

SO THIS WOULD BE A, A, YOU KNOW, AREA WHERE WE DON'T HAVE A ROAD, UH, YOU KNOW, EXTENSION OF CHURCH WOULD BE, WOULD BE ONE OF THESE WHERE, UH, EXTENDING THAT ROAD, PROVIDING NEW CONNECTIVITY, UH, ON THE TRANSPORTATION NETWORK.

SO WE HAVE NINE OF THOSE PROJECTS, UH, WHICH TOTAL ABOUT 66 MILLION.

UH, THE ROADWAY CAPACITY WINDING PROJECT.

SO THIS WOULD BE LIKE AN OLD BANKHEAD, UH, A WIDENING OF OAK RIDGE, THOSE TYPE OF PROJECTS.

WE HAVE EIGHT.

ONE OF THE THINGS THAT'S UNIQUE ABOUT THESE IS THE WIDENINGS ARE ACTUALLY ALL URBAN IN NATURE.

SO, UH, KIND OF AS THE GROWTH IS OCCURRING IN PARKER COUNTY, TRANSITIONING FROM THAT RURAL ENVIRONMENT TO URBAN.

SO, UH, YOU'LL SEE THAT'S A 96 MILLION WORTH OF INVESTMENT THERE.

UH, AND THEN THIS LAST NUMBER IS NOT INCLUSIVE OF ALL THE PARTNERSHIPS WITH TECH STOCK, BUT JUST LOOKING AT THE INVESTMENT ALONG I 20 DIRECTLY, SO THAT WOULD BE THE FRONTAGE ROADS AND RAMPS, UH, IS 59 MILLION WORTH OF PROJECT.

SO WHEN WE, I I, EARLIER I PRESENTED 145.

SO THE 2 45 WOULD BE THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF IMPACT THAT WE HAVE IN TERMS OF THE MONEY THAT, UH, WE WOULD PARTNER WITH, BUT AS WELL AS WHAT THE, THE BOND PROGRAM WAS LIKE.

AND THAT'S THE CONNECTIVITY TO THE WHAT'S ON SYSTEM WITH THE I 20 EXPANSION.

RIGHT.

BECAUSE KIND OF THE, THE, THE NARRATIVE OF THIS IS, IS GONNA BE THE, THE I 20 EXPANSION AND SAFETY PROJECT INITIATIVES, UM, WHICH IS, IT'S A BOND, BUT THAT'S GONNA BE THE, THE KEY THAT WHAT, HOW WE REFERENCE THIS.

AND, UH, SO YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT THE, THE CONNECTIVITY TO WHAT IS GONNA BE ON SYSTEM WITH THE I 20 EXPANSION, CORRECT? RIGHT, RIGHT.

AND, AND IF, IF LOOKING BACK AT THOSE MAPS, YOU KNOW, THERE'S, THERE'S OBVIOUSLY THE WIDENING OR THE, UH, THE FRONTAGE ROAD IMPROVEMENTS ON I 20, BUT A NUMBER OF THE PROJECTS ARE ADDING CAPACITY ADJACENT TO I 20.

UH, LIKE THERE'S, UM, UH, THE BANKHEAD IS ONE THAT'S, UH, A KEY ONE IN THAT, UH, THERE'S, UH, ANOTHER ONE IN IN PRECINCT THREE THAT'S THE BB FILTER, UH, PROJECT THAT WOULD, THAT WOULD ADD THAT PARALLEL CONNECTIVITY TO I 20.

UH, THIS NEXT ONE, UH, I THOUGHT THIS WAS A NICE BALANCE AS WELL.

SO, UH, IN THE 30 PROJECTS WE HAVE ON THE LIST TODAY, WE HAVE 11 THAT ARE COUNTY PROJECTS, UH, 11 THAT ARE CITY PROJECTS.

NOW SOME OF THE CITY ONES ARE LIKE PART OF THE ROADS IN THE COUNTY, UH, BUT IF IT'S A PROJECT THAT WAS ONE THAT, UH, THE CITY WAS INTERESTED IN BEING IN THE PROGRAM, SO HAVING 11 OF THOSE AND THEN A TOTAL OF EIGHT PROJECTS THAT ARE, UH, WOULD BE A PARTNERSHIP WITH TECH STOCK OR THAT ARE ON, UH, TECH STOCK ROADWAYS.

UH, SO THAT KIND OF GIVES YOU A SUMMARY.

UH, WITH THAT I'LL KIND OF OPEN UP TO ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU HAVE ABOUT WHERE WE ARE TODAY.

I GOT A QUESTION FAR YOU ON, UH, FROM THE INTERSTATE TO 180, YOU, YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT WIDENING THE RICK WILLIAMSON? YES.

WHAT ABOUT FROM 180 TO 51? IS THERE NOT A NEED TO WIDEN IT ALL THE WAY FROM 20 TO 51? YOU KNOW, THE, DOES, DOES THE TRAFFIC STOP AT 180? IT, IT DOESN'T STOP.

IT'S JUST THAT'S THE, THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC WE HAVE IS ON THAT SEGMENT.

UH, AND SO, YOU KNOW, AS Y'ALL KNOW, Y'ALL ALREADY, THE PREVIOUS PROGRAM'S ALREADY ESTABLISHED THE, THE RIGHT OF WAY.

RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT.

UH, AND SO WE DO HAVE A PROJECT IN PRECINCT, UH, TWO TO DO A SIGNAL AT OLD GARDNER, WHICH WILL KIND OF IMPROVE THAT, THAT FLOW OF THAT TRAFFIC IN THAT SEGMENT.

UH, BUT YEAH, CURRENTLY, AND THAT'S A GOOD POINT IS, UH, WHERE WE ARE TODAY, WE CAN LOOK AT ADDING ANY OTHER PROJECTS OR SWAPPING OUT.

THIS WAS GIVEN KIND OF A STATUS OF THE ONES THAT, THAT WE'VE COLLECTED TO DATE.

I LIKE THAT.

I DON'T HAVE ACTUAL NUMBERS, BUT I THINK THE TRAFFIC COUNT WOULD BE SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER FROM 180 TO I 20 THAN IT WOULD BE IN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF, UH, EAST.

NO, TRAVEL THAT ROAD A LOT.

YEAH.

AND THERE'S STILL A LOT GOING THE OTHER WAY, BUT, BUT I KNOW THAT THERE'S, MOST OF IT IS FROM 180 TO 20, BUT THE CENTER THERE, I DIDN'T KNOW IF YEAH, IT'S, IT'S A MATTER OF TRYING TO KIND OF BALANCE ALL THE NEEDS MONEY WE HAVE.

AND THE COST IS SO GREAT THAT WE NARROWED IT DOWN TO WIDENING IT SURE.

UM, Y YOU KNOW, ONE, ONE OF THE THINGS I, I THINK THE JUDGE AND I ARE, ARE SCHEDULING A MEETING WITH TECH STOCK AND COG AND ONE POINT OF CONVERSATION WOULD BE, UH, TO TRY TO LOOK AT BRIDGE FUNDING.

WHEN WE FIRST DONE THAT BOND, THERE WAS GONNA BE A BRIDGE THERE, RIGHT? RIGHT.

AND WE TOOK IT OUT AND IT WAS LIKE TWO OR $3 MILLION AND NOW IT'S 17 MILLION.

IT, IT, BUT WE DID SET IT UP, YOU KNOW, THE, THE INTERSECTION WAS SET FOR THE BRIDGE.

UM, AND THE, UM, WHAT THE WAY THAT, THE REASON WHY THAT COST IS WHERE IT IS TODAY IS CUZ YOU BRIDGE OVER THAT, BUT IT PRODUCES RETAINING WALLS.

SO IT'S REALLY JUST TO, YOU KNOW, SHARE THE LIST OF PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS AND LOOK AND SEE IF THERE'S OTHERS THAT, THAT WE CAN PARTNER WITH THEM ON.

IT IS KIND OF A PROCESS WE NORMALLY GO THROUGH, UH, THAT WAY THAT THEY'RE FULLY AWARE OF ALL THE PROJECTS WE HAVE.

UH, AND IT, YOU KNOW, THE IDEA IS THE TECHOS DOING A LOT OF INVESTMENT IN THE COUNTY WITH THE DIFFERENT FM ROADS AND THE, THE LARGER I 20 PROJECT.

SO WE WANNA MAKE SURE OUR PROGRAM IS KIND OF A SUPPLEMENT IN, UH, LIKE FOR EXAMPLE, I 20, YOU KNOW, GETTING THOSE FRONTAGE ROADS IN REALLY HELP THEIR PROJECT CUZ NOW YOU CAN MOVE TRAFFIC ON THE FRONTAGE ROAD WHILE THEY'RE BUILDING THE MAIN LANES.

DO YOU ANTICIPATE MORE OF THE MATCHING FUNDS BECAUSE OF THE PARTNERSHIP THAT WE HAVE AND THE THINGS THAT WE'RE DOING ON OUR END? YEAH.

YEAH.

I, I THINK, YOU KNOW, THAT'S BEEN A GREAT HISTORY OF PARTNERSHIPS WITH TECH STOCK AND COG.

SO, UH, THERE IS OPPORTUNITIES AND THAT THAT'S PART OF THAT MEETING.

LIKE I MENTIONED THE, THE BRIDGE OVER 180, THAT'S KIND OF WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS IS THAT, YOU KNOW, WITH THE MATCHING FUNDS THAT WE HAVE, IS THERE SOMETHING SOME WAY WE CAN BACKDOOR INTO OR FIGURE OUT HOW TO, UM, BECAUSE INITIALLY WE LOOKED AT A NUMBER THAT, UH, WE WANT TO GET ALL THE PROJECTS WE CAN THAT THAT'S CRITICAL HERE.

UM, BUT WITHOUT GOING OVER AND EXCEEDING A CERTAIN NUMBER, UH, BUT THE, THE MATCHING FUNDS THAT COULD FACTOR INTO THIS, COULD THAT IMPACT THE, THE, UH, THE BRIDGE THAT WE'RE TALKING ABOUT AS WELL.

SO IT'S, YEAH, IT'S GONNA HAVE TO BE DONE EVENTUALLY.

AND UH, UM, THERE'S, YOU KNOW, A LOT OF WHAT I'M SPEAKING TO IS THAT DIRECT LOCAL COORDINATION WITH TECH STOCK AND COG.

UH, THERE ARE FEDERAL GRANTS THAT WE COULD APPLY FOR AS WELL.

I MEAN, THERE'S BRIDGE PROGRAMS. UH, SO THAT'S AN ELEMENT THAT, UM, WE WANNA DISCUSS WITH.

I MEAN, COGS ALWAYS A PARTICIPANT IN THAT.

UH, BUT IT, THERE'S A ADVANTAGE FOR THE LOCAL ENTITY TO ACTUALLY MAKE THE APPLICATION.

CUZ YOU CAN IMAGINE COGS DOING APPLICATIONS FOR THE WHOLE METROPLEX AND IF YOU HAVE A, A LOCAL ENTITY LIKE A CITY OR COUNTY APPLYING FOR THAT JOB, UM, IT, IT'S JUST ANOTHER STRATEGY TO STRETCH THOSE FUNDS.

CONSTRUCTION RISES AT ABOUT DOUBLE THAT.

IT FAIR TO SAY THAT THE MORE WE PUT OFF SOME OF THESE PROJECTS, THE MORE EXPENSIVE IT'S GONNA BE LONG TERM AND REAL DOLLARS TO PARKER COUNTY TAXPAYERS? CAN YOU COMMENT ON THAT AT ALL? YOU BET AND THINK IT AS WELL.

IT'S, UH, YOU KNOW, EVEN A POINT THAT COMMISSIONER CONLEY MADE ABOUT THE, YOU KNOW, THE DISCUSSION AROUND THAT BRIDGE IN 2008 VERSUS NOW.

UH, NOW PART OF THAT IS LIKE, UM, YOU KNOW, THAT, UM, A LOT OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE OF THE RAMPS GOT BUILT IN THE FIRST PROGRAM.

UH, SO THE, UH, BUT YEAH, WE'VE SEEN THAT AND ONE OF THE, THE THINGS WE'VE SEEN JUST IN THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS IS WE HAD THAT INFLATION SPIKE AS A SOCIETY, YOU KNOW, OVER A YEAR AGO.

AND, AND ALTHOUGH SOME ELEMENTS CAME DOWN, CONSTRUCTION DIDN'T.

UH, SO WE'RE STILL SEEING HIGH PRICES IN BIDDING, UH, IN TERMS OF UM, YOU KNOW, STEEL CONCRETE FUEL COST.

AND SO, UH, TO YOUR POINT, YEAH, CONSTRUCTION COST, UH, IS CONSTANTLY GOING UP.

AND PART OF THAT IS THERE'S SUCH A HIGH DEMAND, IT'S ALMOST A SUPPLY DEMAND THING WITH CONTRACTORS CUZ THE METROPLEX IS GROWING SO FAST THAT WHERE, UH, IN THE FIRST PRO PROGRAM WE USED TO GET EIGHT, 10 CONTRACTORS BIDDING ON OUR PROJECTS AND NOW BE, YOU KNOW, FOUR OR FIVE CONTRACTORS.

WE HOPE THAT IT WOULD IMPROVE OFFICER'S KNOWLEDGE IN THE FIELD AND MAKE THEM MORE EFFICIENT AT THEIR JOBS.

AND ALSO ALLOW ALL INDIVIDUALS AT THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, OUR OFFICE, ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT TO COME UP THERE AND GET FREE TCO HOURS.

SO WE'RE GETTING THAT CERTIFIED AS WELL.

AND I'LL LET, UH, LISA SAY A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT THAT IN DETAIL.

UM, ALSO WE HAVE STEPHANIE KEGLEY THAT IS PART OF THE PUT ME FIRST FOUNDATION AND, UM, THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE THESE PEOPLE HERE AND HELP US ENHANCE OUR TRAINING AND GIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT FREE TRAINING WITH EIGHT T FULL HOURS.

I'LL LET HIM SPEAK TO THIS ISSUE AS WELL, BUT I BELIEVE YOU HAVE THE AMENDMENT TO THAT CONTRACT.

I DON'T, I DON'T KNOW WHETHER WHO WANNA SPEAK ON THE SAL'S BEHALF, BUT I, I KNOW, UM, THE CONTRACT INCREASE THEY HAD BEFORE, UH, THEY RAISED THEIR, UM, I GUESS WAGES ON THEIR, THEIR GUARDS 20% AND I KNOW THEY'RE GONNA DO THAT AGAIN COME OCTOBER.

RAISE IT, UH, 20% AS WELL.

I KNOW THAT'S WHERE A HUGE, HUGE EXPENSE IS.

AND OF COURSE THE PRICE OF FOOD AND GAS AND EVERYTHING ELSE WE KNOW HAS GONE UP AS WELL.

WE'RE STILL WAY UNDER, I THINK THE RATES, THE GOING RATES AROUND THE STATE.

IN FACT, WE HAVE SOME MOUS WITH SOME OTHER COUNTIES, UH, DENTON COUNTY BEING ONE, UH, WORKING ON I THINK TARRANT COUNTY, UH, HOOD COUNTY.

WE HAVE AN AGREEMENT IN CORYELL COUNTY AND THOSE ARE ALL FOR 92 50 PER DAY IS WHAT WE'RE CHARGING.

IN FACT, WE HAVE ABOUT 20 DENTON COUNTY INMATES IN OUR JAIL RIGHT NOW.

THEY HAVE FOUR OR 500 EMPTY BEDS, BUT THEY DON'T HAVE THE STAFF TO MAN THEIR FACILITY.

SO, SO IT'S HUGE AND, AND I KNOW THE COST OF THESE EMPLOYEES IS GREAT AND THAT'S WHERE MOST OF THIS MONEY IS GONNA GO BACK TO.

SO IF I HAVE A SAY, AND I KNOW I DON'T, BUT, UH, I, I THINK IT'S, WE'RE STILL GONNA BE WAY UNDER THE MARKET WITH, EVEN IF YOU DO APPROVE THIS ADDENDUM AND RUSS CA, MARK ARNETTE HAD CALCULATED THE COST IF WE WERE TO ASSUME OPERATIONS OF THAT GEL AND IS THAT A HIGHER NUMBER TO OPERATE OURSELVES OR A LOWER NUMBER? IT, IT WOULD BE A LOT IF YOU'D PROBABLY ADD 2 MILLION TO THAT IF WE TOOK IT OVER RIGHT NOW.

AND SO PER INMATE PER DAY, IT WOULD BE A HIGHER NUMBER, COULD BE WAY HIGHER.

UM, THE OTHER RATE CHANGES THAT ARE BEING, UH, REQUESTED ARE FOR, UH, HOSPITAL GUARD DUTY.

SO IF YOU HAVE AN INMATE IN, UM, THE HOSPITAL, UH, IT REQUIRES GUARD DUTY.

AND SO FOR THE FIRST 48 HOURS IN THE CURRENT CONTRACT, IT'S $22 AND THEN AFTER THAT 48 HOUR PERIOD, IT INCREASES TO 33.

UM, SO THEY'RE REQUESTING THAT RATE AGAIN OCTOBER ONE TO GO TO $27 FOR THE FIRST 48 HOURS AND THEN $36, UM, OVER THAT 48 HOUR PERIOD, WHICH IS A 23% AND 9% INCREASE RESPECTIVELY.

UM, AGAIN, THOSE WOULD ALL BE EFFECTIVE OCTOBER ONE.

UH, ONE THING THAT, UH, WOULD BE EFFECTIVE PRIOR TO THAT, UM, WHICH WE HAD ASKED TO GO BACK TO FEBRUARY 1ST, WOULD BE IF WE'RE HOUSING OUTSIDE INMATES, UH, THERE'S A CLAUSE IN THERE THAT WE RETAIN $5 ON THAT.

SO AS THE SHERIFF SPOKE, UM, FOR THE DENTON COUNTY INMATES, THEY, UH, DENTON COUNTY REIMBURSES US 92 50.

UM, THE RATE THAT WE PAY LASAL FOR THOSE INMATES IS 87 50.

AND SO THAT $5, UM, THAT WE WOULD BE RETAINING BASICALLY GOES TO COVER COSTS OF, UM, MAINTAINING THE GEL.

SO WHETHER THAT BE HVAC OR GENERATORS AND THOSE TYPE OF THINGS, IT WOULD BE TO COVER, COVER THAT COST.

SO ADDITIONAL WEAR AND TEAR.

YES.

AND THIS IS WITHIN THE PARAMETERS OF THE STATUTORY LIMITS FOR AN INCREASE ON A CURRENT CONTRACT.

AND I'LL LET KIM SPEAK TO THIS NEXT PART BECAUSE, UH, THE MODIFICATION ALSO CHANGES THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT, WHICH IS VERY IMPORTANT AND WHAT WOULD HAVE TO TRANSPIRE AFTER THAT.

BUT I'LL LET KIM SPEAK TO THAT.

SO THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT WAS FOR NINE YEARS AND UH, WITH THE INCREASE THIS FIRST YEAR OF 20%, OBVIOUSLY WE CANNOT GO OVER 25% INCREASE ON THE LIFETIME OF A CONTRACT.

SO WE'VE MADE THE MODIFICATION OR THE ADDENDUM ADDENDUM TO CHANGE THIS FIRST YEAR, WHICH WILL END THE CONTRACT ON, UM, JULY 31ST, 2024.

AND THEN NEXT SUMMER WE WILL ISSUE AN RFP TO REDO, UM, GO BACK OUT FOR BID AND HOPEFULLY THE RATES WILL KIND OF EVEN OUT WHERE WE CAN OR INCLUDE A CLAUSE IN THE, IN THE CONTRACT THAT WOULD ALLOW FOR A HIGHER INCREASE EACH YEAR THAN WHAT THE CPI WAS FOR THIS.

SO IT IT IS GOING FROM A NINE-YEAR TO A TWO YEAR NOW.

SO, YOU KNOW, AGAIN, IF THERE WOULD BE ANY CHANGES IN OTHER ONES, THEN WE WOULD WANNA GO AHEAD AND LET THOSE, YOU KNOW, COUNTIES KNOW NOW SO THAT WAY THEY CAN PLAN AND BUDGET AS THEY'RE GOING THROUGH THEIR BUDGET PROCESS.
